Loved the devotional! I am the mom of ten adopted foster children, when I downloaded the devotional I thought it was about hope…….I was delighted to find it was not what I thought. Very well done!!!!!!! Wish it was longer. Thanks for blessing people by sharing the stories.

We have a full house (our 5 plus 2 foster loves), but it’s our hearts that overflow. So amazed and grateful that God chose us to adore these children.

At 53 years old, I’ve discovered only two things can make me cry anymore. The first is completely silly – a sad movie that has nothing to do with my life. Second. The most difficult. The tears, the eyes, the hurt of a child. Silent, and yet so heartfelt, it can bring me to my knees.

And now, I’ve discovered a third influence on tears in this season of my life. I am reminded that it is never too late to grow, to change, to learn… I am deeply and profoundly moved by the words of Doc Shrop and her wonderful corrrelation of scripture with today’s tribulations, but also by the love and deeds of OK Foster Wishes. A place my heart can feel at home. Friends in both Deb and OKFW that will last a lifetime. What a wonderful world!

I needed to cry these kind of tears today. Thanks for sharing. I am praying for similar supernatural provision for the family of our foster baby — he goes back to his Mom next week after 9 months with us. I’m proud of how she has worked to get him back and pray she accepts the extravagant love of God.

I totally agree that we all have a duty to participate in solving this foster care problem! It’s so easy to criticize when you are not part of the solution. There is a saying that goes “if you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem!” I am glad I found your blog and it was so nice to meet you the other night!!!

As a homeschooling foster mom, I’ve recently had the chance to use a few of my very rare “days off” talking to DHS employees about homeschooling families as potential resource families. It is one of my greatest joys. With our little “J” having just moved to his forever home, I am looking forward to bringing our next little charge to see the amazing providers at Fostering Hope.
